nico-wideI am an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I am a member of the probability group.

I obtained my Ph.D. from McGill University in 2013, under the direction of Luc Devroye, where I was part of the CARP research group (Combinatorics, Algorithms, Randomization, and Probability). Before joining UNC, I was a postdoc at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard University.

I work on problems about the probabilistic analysis of:

  • Random structures,
  • Stochastic dynamics,
  • Randomized algorithms,
  • Combinatorial statistics.
